Hot Work Certification

This course provides the training required for Hot Work Certification approved by the Massachusetts Division of Fire Services.
Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate authorizing them to perform, supervise, obtain permits for, or delegate hot work activities in buildings throughout Massachusetts.
Massachusetts regulations require this certification for individuals whose work involves activities that generate heat, sparks, or open flames capable of causing fires or explosions. Hot work activities include, but are not limited to, welding, cutting, grinding, soldering, heat treating, hot riveting, torch-applied roofing, abrasive blasting, and the use of powder-actuated fastening tools.
