Second Firemen License Prep

This entry-level license preparatory course is intended to prepare a student for the Second Firemen state license exam which is a written and oral examination administered by the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services. As a licensed Second Firemen you can "operate any boiler or boilers under the engineer or fireman in charge" in accordance with Chapter 146 of the Mass General Laws. Second firemen are employed in hospitals, schools, utility plants, manufacturing plants, and numerous other establishments that use high pressure boilers.

This is a 12 week entry-level license preparatory course designed for individuals with no prior experience. This course will prepare the student to take the written and oral state license exams. Once student passes the exam, the student is officially licensed to "Operate any boiler or boilers under the engineer or fireman direct charge thereof".
